Fasting Blood Test Instructions:

Duration of Fasting: Typically, fasting for 8-12 hours is required.
Water Intake: Drinking water is usually allowed during the fasting period unless otherwise instructed by your healthcare provider.
Medications: Take medications prescribed by your doctor. Certain medications might interfere with test results, so it’s important to clarify this during the pre-screening questionnaire.
Avoid Consuming Anything Except Water: This includes food, beverages (except water), chewing gum, and mints during the fasting period.

Instructions for Midstream Urine Collection:

Clean Hands: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before collecting the sample to prevent contamination.
Use a Clean Container: Use the sterile container provided by us. If there are contaminants, request a new one from our staff.
Initial Urination: Begin urinating into the toilet and stop. This is crucial for an accurate sample.
Collection Phase: After the initial release, using the provided clean container, collect a midstream sample. To do this, urinate a small amount into the toilet, and then, without stopping the flow, collect the next portion directly into the container.
